U.S. News & World Report 에 의하면 Uinversity of California Irvine 은 미국 Top 50 위권 대학에 포함되어 있으며, 모든 국립대학 가운데에서는 10위에 올라 있다. UC Irvine 은 교직원이 같은해에 두개의 다른 분야, 1995년 화학과 물리학에서 두개의 노벨상을 받은 최초의 국립대학이다. 집중영어 프로그램인 English and Certificate Programs for Internationals 은 1980년에 창립되었으며 일반영어프로그램외에도 TOEFL 시험, 대학진학 준비프로그램, 비지니스영어 프로그램등을 제공하고 있다. 대학진학 희망자를 위한 진학상담이나 어드바이스도 제공하고, 교실수업외에도 문화활동이나 캘리포니아주의 유명한 곳을 방문하는 이벤트도 진행되므로 영어와 문화를 즐기면서 배울수 있다.

- 10-Week Intensive Program : 21 hours of class time/week

- 4-Week Conversation & Culture Program : Total 90 hours of instruction
- 4-Week Business English Program : Total 90 hours of instruction
