미국 대학 평가 기관인 US News & World Report 에서 지난 8월 11일 미국 대학 학부(Undergraduate) 랭킹을 발표하였습니다. 예년에 비해 크게 달라진 점은 없으나 작년에 2위로 밀렸던 프린스톤 대학이 이번엔 하버드와 공동 1위를 차지한 점과 몇몇 상위권 사립대학끼리의 자리바꿈. 그리고 주립대학들의 랭킹이 한두 단계씩 상승한 점에서 약간의 변화가 보입니다. 주립대학들의 약진은 최근 경기 상황과 무관치 않아 보여 내년 학기 지원자들은 상위권 주립대학 지원시 예상 스펙을 종전 기준보다 조금 상향 조정할 필요가 있습니다.
